We like ADT because they offer 24/7 phone support, and professional monitoring starts at $19.99 a month with contracts of 30 to 60 months. While there is no installation fee, you do pay for the equipment, which can raise the cost significantly. Still, if you’re looking for comprehensive security and around the clock monitoring, ADT might be your best choice.
Abode
If you prefer a home security system that can be easily synched with your home’s smart lighting and thermostats, Abode might be the ideal choice. The system works with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and other apps. And, like Ring, you can choose from alarm systems, sensors and security cameras and build as you go. It’s also easy to install on your own.
Vivint
Vivint is another popular home security system that is compatible with many smart home products and devices. Monthly plans start around $29.99 a month, and they offer both a month-to-month option as well as a 60-month contact. They also offer a 120-day warranty and a parts replacement plan for those on a contract.
