Alvin began his insurance career in 1977 as a co-op student at Cincinnati Insurance Company. He was hired into the Insurance Agency Business in June of 1983 by Bob Schiff at The Schiff Agency.
In 1984, Bob acquired Kreidler-Shell Insurance which became Schiff, Kreidler-Shell. Shortly after the acquisition, Alvin was granted ownership and became Executive Vice-President of the firm.
In 2005, Alvin was the leading producer and was named President of the agency. SKS was sold to a national aggregator in 2012 and Alvin left and formed The Roehr Agency. He prides himself on the fact that his firm is locally owned and operated concentrating on Property and Casualty Insurance, both Personal and Commercial, along with all aspects of Life Insurance. The Roehr Agency expanded its local commitment in 2016, by purchasing a building in Oakley, which will serve as their new headquarters and resource center.
Alvin currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of The University of Cincinnati Foundation, supporting the aspirations of the University of Cincinnati and UC Health through philanthropy. Alvin was the founder of the Herschede Society of the University of Cincinnati that encourages and fosters involvement of outgoing members of the UC Foundation Board of Trustees. Alvin served as the co-chair of the Tocqueville Society division of United Way, a society of people that commit themselves to philanthropy and community service and contribute $10,000 or more annually to The United Way. Alvin is involved with The Cincinnati Fire Museum Board and is interested in the Safe House that teaches fire safety to the youth of Cincinnati. Alvin is also on the board of The University of Cincinnati Bi-Centennial Celebration occurring in 2019.

Carmine began his insurance career in 1994 as an underwriter with the Cincinnati Insurance Company. In 1998, he was hired by Schiff, Kreidler-Shell, Inc. (SKS) as a Marketing Specialist in Commercial Lines where he marketed accounts and helped manage client accounts for various producer teams. SKS was a large independent agency in Cincinnati at the time. He worked closely with Alvin Roehr and his clients during his time at SKS. Carmine became an owner at SKS in 2002 and remained there until 2015 through the sale of the agency to Arthur J. Gallagher in 2012. He left AJG to get back in underwriting at Cincinnati Insurance Company at their Excess and Surplus Lines Insurance Company, Cincinnati Specialty Underwriters. He joined Roehr Insurance on May 1, 2017.
Carmine is a graduate of Elder High School and the University of Cincinnati. He is on the Finance Committee at Our Lady of Lourdes Church and has spent numerous years volunteering for various activities and coaching his children at their school. Carmine is extremely excited to be back with Alvin and looks forward to helping you with all of your insurance needs.
Matt was born and raised in Cincinnati where he attended Madeira High School, and in 2018 he Graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in both Accounting and Finance. In his first two years after college, he attained a hybrid accounting role; working busy seasons in the tax department and summers/falls in the audit department. After gaining background on many areas of the accounting world, he joined Clark Schafer Hackett’s audit team, focusing on Broker/Dealer, Manufacturing/Distribution, Employee Benefit Plan, and Private Club audits. Overall, Matt worked roughly 6 years in public accounting before joining The Roehr Agency. In addition to working full time, Matt completed the Mount St. Joseph University’s Saturday MBA Program and graduated with his MBA in 2021. Once receiving his MBA, Matt passed all four sections of the CPA exam in 2022 and continues to stay up to date with all changes and updates in the accounting world. He looks forward to helping The Roehr Agency grow and develop for years to come.
Jeremy was born and raised outside of Indianapolis, Indiana and attended Olivet Nazarene University while being a member of their men’s basketball team. He began his insurance career in 2004 as a retail agency specialist at American Family Insurance then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio with Liberty Mutual to focus on commercial insurance. Most recently, he spent 12 years at a national insurance broker based out of Cincinnati as a Vice President. This experience enabled him to partner with some of the region’s largest companies and enhance his abilities to analyze, create, implement and monitor robust risk management and corporate insurance programs. He has served clients in almost all major industries including companies with operations in all 50 states and internationally. Over the years, he has received several awards and recognitions from associations, insurance carriers, and partners showcasing his excellent performance within the insurance industry.
Jeremy’s passion is serving business owners and executives while overseeing their risk management needs, facilitating proactive insurance programs that generate long-term financial savings, protect company assets and increase EBITDA. He seeks to truly understand each client he serves to better design and implement customized insurance and other risk transfer solutions. He has a reputation of being an advisor that takes on complex risks while finding solutions that align with a company’s risk appetite; therefore, he has expertise far beyond the traditional insurance placements including captive arrangements, loss sensitive programs, and alternative risk financing options.
He lives with his wife, Michelle, and their 3 children in Liberty Township, Ohio. He is active in the community serving on numerous non-profit boards, as a member of Springdale Nazarene Church, and coaching several youth sports teams. When he is not working on behalf of his clients or spending time with his family, he enjoys staying physically fit, watching college basketball (Go Hoosiers!), and working on projects around the home.
John, a lifelong Cincinnatian, obtained his education from Mariemont H.S. and the University of Cincinnati. He now lives in Hyde Park with his wife, Meredith, and their dog Oscar. Prior to his tenure at The Roehr Agency, John worked in the Ohio Workers' Compensation field for a local Third Party Administrator. With 7+ years of insurance related experience, John has created a diverse portfolio of clients and expertise. A few of his specialties include: Hospitality (specifically Breweries, Distilleries, and Restaurants), Non-Profits, Start-Ups, and other difficult, hard to place types of risk. The team John works with is far and away his greatest asset. With decades of experience and insurance intellect, they are the rock upon which he has built his career. They have shown him time and time again that our agency can handle any risk, personal OR commercial, regardless of its complexity.
Doug was raised on the west side of Cincinnati attending St. Xavier High School and Miami University. His insurance career began in 1997 as a Commercial Lines Underwriter for Cincinnati Insurance Company. After a few years behind the desk, he looked to expand his role and took a field underwriting position with CNA Insurance Company responsible for both marketing and underwriting a complex book of mid to large sized businesses within a state-wide territory of top producing Agencies in Ohio. In 2004, he moved to the agency side to manage a national, proprietary contractor program for a local MGA while broking wholesale business across the country. In late 2006, he transitioned to direct retail giving him the opportunity to do what he enjoyed most and work directly with clients to build risk management programs that are consistent with the various needs and exposures for each individual organization. This experience has given him the opportunity to work with clients, both private and public, across the country while concentrating on Mergers and Acquisitions in a private equity driven model, as well as, the opportunity to work with some of Cincinnati's largest companies. Doug is dedicated to building long term, local relationships while bringing the value of over twenty years of both national and international industry experience to his partnerships with the support of a locally owned and locally committed organization.
Ross was born and raised in Cincinnati. He attended St. Xavier H.S. and Miami University (OH) where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Farmer School of Business. He recently moved into his first house and lives in the Oakley area. Ross is beginning his career with Roehr Insurance as a producer and is eager to learn about the insurance industry from his coworkers and father who have many years of exceptional experience. He is extremely excited to begin his career and work with the entire team to help you “Put the Roehr back in your insurance”.
Doug was born and raised in Cincinnati, where he attended Madeira Schools K-12 and graduated from Xavier University in 2013. He started his insurance career right out of college as an underwriter for The Cincinnati Insurance Companies. He spent nine years at Cincinnati Insurance, where he developed a strong understanding of the industry. At Roehr, he is focused on building long-term relationships with his clients and seeks to truly understand each one of them to help customize an insurance program that best fits their individual needs. Doug now lives in Kenwood with his wife, Christine, their two daughters, Sage & Olive, and their dog, Boone. When not working on behalf of his clients, you can find Doug fishing local streams, out on the golf course or hiking with his family.
After attending the University of Cincinnati, Tina began her career in surety at Surety Services of America as an underwriting assistant. In 1991 she joined Schiff, Kreidler-Shell, Inc. where in her 9 years of employment worked her way up to Bond Manager. In 2000 Tina left SKS, after the birth of her first child, and moved to Southern California with her family. There she spent the next 9 years as the Director of SCBPN, a non-profit organization for children with Brachial Plexus Injuries and was also a homemaker. In 2009 Tina returned to Cincinnati and contacted Alvin Roehr to return to SKS and the surety business. Tina was hired as a Surety Marketer and began developing a program for inclusion through surety bonds. In July 2019 Tina joined The Roehr Agency as VP Surety and Inclusion. Working closely with Alvin to expand the existing surety department and developing creative solutions for inclusion for their clients. Dedicated to customer service, Tina said “joining The Roehr Agency was like coming home, where clients are people not just premium.”
Tina loves volunteering for her children’s school and outside activities including Band Booster President, Theater and Baseball. She is dedicated to working with Woman and Minority Business Enterprises in the construction industry. Tina enjoys time with her family, writing poetry and home remodeling projects, some of which are actually finished.
Elle is so excited to join her dad Alvin, sister Abby, and brother Ross at the Roehr Agency! She was born and raised here in Cincinnati where she attended high school at Saint Ursula Academy. She then went on to the University of Cincinnati where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in Spanish. Upon graduating from college, Elle joined the Cincinnati Insurance Company where she completed their Underwriting Training Program and then worked as both a Commercial & Personal Lines Underwriter. She spent about a year as part of CIC’s Private Client division focusing on larger accounts based in the New York, New Jersey & Connecticut areas.
From there, Elle decided to broaden her horizons and move to New York City. She got a job there with a private real estate firm where she was involved in very exciting and complex commercial development & construction projects. After 7 years of creating lifelong friendships and memories of unforgettable experiences in New York, Elle was finally ready to come home to be closer to family and enjoy the Cincinnati way of life that she missed. She is picking back up in her insurance career as part of our Personal Lines team.
Luke, a Cincinnati native, completed his K-12 education at Loveland Schools before graduating from Ohio State University in 2024. At Ohio State, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the Fisher College of Business, complemented by a minor in Brewing Science. Eager to embark on a career in the insurance industry, Luke looks forward to learning from and contributing to a team of industry leaders. He is dedicated to building strong relationships and trust with clients, aiming to deliver exceptional service, tailored to their unique needs. Outside of his professional pursuits, Luke enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing golf, fishing, and traveling.
Pauline began her insurance career in 1978, as a co-op for the Fred S. Eveleigh Insurance Agency. Here she learned the insurance business from the ground up, while, at the same time, attending Raymond Walters Business College. Upon graduation, she continued taking insurance classes and became a member of the Cincinnati Chapter of The Insurance Women of America. The insurance classes and her membership enabled her to become a licensed insurance agent and obtain her certified personal insurance women designation (CPIW). She has always been in insurance, working for both small and large Independent agencies – Sweeney & Meder, Wells Fargo, USI Insurance and now The Roehr Agency. Personal Insurance has always been Pauline’s niche, but working with affluent families and high net worth individuals is her specialty. She also takes great pride in providing her clients “good old fashion customer service” as she feels this is something that sorely lacks in today’s marketplace.
Personally, she has two sons and lives in the Northwest side of town. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking and reading in her spare time.
Raquel comes to the agency with over 20 years of customer service experience, 10 years of which have been concentrated in the insurance industry. Her main focus is building lasting client relationships, while providing stellar customer service. She is honored to be among such a high caliber group of individuals and strives to act accordingly to the values, principles and culture that The Roehr Agency adheres to daily.
Lori has more than 15 years of experience working in the insurance industry. She has worked primarily in commercial lines where her roles included commercial lines CSR and marketing. Her favorite aspect of commercial lines is getting to know the clients and providing them with prompt and professional service.
Lisa started her insurance career in 1995, at a small local agency in Chicago. Lisa has worked on both the carrier and agency side. Her roles have been from office support, underwriting assistant, underwriter, commercial account assistant, commercial account manager and marketing.
Lisa feels very privileged to be working alongside such a talented group of professionals, and she looks forward to building client relationships and providing excellent customer service.
Harry's insurance experience ranges from insurance company underwriting, to agency principal, to Senior Vice President at a national insurance brokerage firm. Risk management, including self-insurance, captive insurance companies, and loss sensitive insurance programs are all a specialty. He is an experienced manager of several risk management programs for New York Stock Exchange companies. Outside the insurance industry he served the University of Cincinnati as a member of the College of Business Advisory Council, president of the Alumni Association, and the alumni representative to the University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees. In addition, he is serving the City of Cincinnati as member/ past chairman of the Park Board’s Waterfront Advisory Council, and the American Red Cross as chairman of planning for a National Convention.
Julie is a lifelong Cincinnatian, growing up and now living about a half hour outside of the city. She attended Cincinnati State and received a degree in Hospitality Management. She was born into the insurance industry, as her mother’s family owned an agency in Milford, Ohio for nearly 40 years. She began working full time for Goolsby Insurance at the age of 18, and became licensed in 2003. Over the last five years, Julie worked for a national insurance broker based out of Cincinnati as an Account Manager in commercial lines, and a Risk Analyst for financial and professional lines. Julie recently joined The Roehr Agency and is now the Account Manager on Jeremy Riddle’s team.
On a personal level, Julie is a co-owner in a small local candle company. She enjoys playing softball and golf and going on off-road trips with her husband and friends. She is married to, Vince, has two step-sons, Josh and Alex, and a step-granddaughter, Cooper. She is a huge animal lover and has two dogs; Newton & Smitty and two cats; George & Ratatouille.
Abby was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended the University of Cincinnati where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing at the Lindner College of Business. She is excited to enter the family business in the insurance industry, working alongside her father and twin brother Ross. Abby is passionate about her beloved hometown of Cincinnati where she has grown up, attended college, and is now starting her professional career. Abby has never met a stranger and is looking forward to continuing the growth of the Roehr agency among her many friends and peers in the Cincinnati community. In her free time she enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends and family. She also loves dogs and the Bearcats!
Beginning in 2003 at SKS, in the Claims department Christine began her career in insurance. Within a couple years, she moved into commercial lines where she remained for a couple years. After taking a break to produce 3 energetic children, living abroad in the middle east, and helping renovate a turn of the century home, she is now back in the insurance world. She is excited about the many opportunities, challenges and being able to connect with the talented professionals around her.
A proud Cincinnati native and 2013 graduate of Miami University, Elizabeth started her career with Roehr Insurance in 2014. She began by assisting the Commercial Lines team while obtaining both her P&C and Life licenses shortly thereafter. Upon gaining experience in the Commercial Lines Department, she was promoted to Executive Assistant to the CEO and Owner, Alvin Roehr. Although she handles much of the day-to-day operations for Roehr, she plays an integral part in the reporting and management of company claims and continually strives to give clients the ultimate "Roehr" experience!
Sarah was born and raised in Cincinnati. She attended Xavier University and received a Bachelor's degree in Marketing at the Williams College of Business. She began her insurance career at a national insurance broker based out of Cincinnati, where she served as a Risk Analyst in commercial lines. Sarah’s has experience working with complex organizations and thoroughly understanding their risk management needs. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching sports, traveling and going on long walks with her dog.
Deb started her carrier on the broker side in 1982 after working as a casualty underwriter for a regional insurance company for nine years. Prior to joining Roehr, most of her career was spent working for a national insurance broker based in Cincinnati as a Sr. Account Executive .She has experience partnering with commercial clients in various industries with national and international operations. Her ability to understand and advocate for clients is unmatched. At Roehr, she specializes in supporting our commercial lines department by providing thought leadership, client support, and industry knowledge.
